Today, more than 170 aerospace companies and supplier firms are located in Snohomish County. The new composite and advanced manufacturing processes being created by Boeing and related businesses are forecast to spur new job and industry growth during the next several decades.

  • Snohomish County is home to more than 170 aerospace companies representing roughly 22 percent of the state’s aerospace workers. Statewide, aerospace comprises about 650 companies.
  • County and state aerospace companies frequently work with other international producers, including Airbus, Bombardier, Dassault, and Northrop Grumman.
  • Boeing jobs in Snohomish County alone account for almost 33,000.
  • An aerospace worker’s annual average income is $83,370.
  • Washington is home to more than 7,000 aerospace engineers.
  • Aerospace represents 8 percent of all Washington state jobs and totals $5.4 billion.
