Community Colleges and Technical Training

Aerospace and Advanced Avionics Technical Training
Twenty percent of aerospace-related workers here hold professional and technical positions, including such occupations as engineers, engineering technicians, systems analysts and computer programmers.
Two award-winning community colleges support the aerospace industry with customized and specialty training.

A joint effort between Snohomish County and the Aerospace Futures Alliance, along with funding support from state and federal sources, this premier aerospace training and research center is built around the aerospace businesses’ needs for advanced training in composite technology and avionics manufacturing.

Facilities are located at Snohomish County’s Paine Field Airport and the Spokane Airport, Spokane, offering statewide opportunities. While the Paine Field facility is administered by Edmonds Community College, the program is connects business with pass-through training and curriculums created at the base level.
